TRIP DURATION: 4 Days
TIME SPENT VOLUNTEERING: 4-6 hours per person over 2 days
PROJECT: Plant pineapple suckers, pick up garbage, install irrigation system, and plant more pineapple suckers (3000 in total)!
Neil Curtis, who runs Farm Up Jamaica and who I met in 2016, to this day has me programmed in his cell phone as “Steven 600 tourists”. He waited a while to return my first call, having a hard time believing that I had 600 do-gooder tourists bound for Jamaica and that I had some project ideas.
